Tour at 13:00

We were going to start this tour by stopping by the Puffin colony in Akurey and on the way over there we spotted few Harbour Porpoises, we then went close to Akurey to look at the Puffins, by the Island we also spotted some Eider Ducks and Black-Backed Gulls. We then headed out where we first found 2 Minke Whales, we were able to see them very well a few times but they were quite difficult since they only came up 1-2 and then they went for a deeper dive that lasted quite long. Next to them we found a really nice pod of White-Beaked Dolphins they came really slowly up to the surface pretty close to the boat so we were able to observe them very well. Then we ended the tour with another Minke Whale, that one was bigger than the first two and it surfaced few times only about 10-20 meters away from the boat.

Tour at 09:00

There was a bit of swell in the morning tour but not too bad. We headed out and straight to the area where we commonly have sightings. First we spotted a pod of Harbour Porpoises then after searching for about 2 hours we finally spotted Minke Whales, there were at least 3 of them there in the area. We also spotted many birds today like Puffins, Guillemots, Fulmars, Kittiwakes, Gannets, Arctic Terns, Black-Backed Gulls and Arctic Skua at one point it was chasing a Kittiwake.
