CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 0900
Report from Eldey: We set off with a bit of wind on our faces this morning. We headed towards Hafnarfjodur once again. We had almost every weather possible this morning: sun, snow and hail. We then arrived to our destination and it was worth the crazy weather and swell. We came across 1 humpback whale, 20-25 harbour porpoises (about 6/7 different pods) and many feeding seabirds. This included at least 15 plunge diving Northern gannets. The humpback was feeding alongside all these other species. It was lunge feeding and rolling! We then headed home in the sun after a wonderful morning.

CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 13:00
Report from Eldey: We left Reykjavik with nice sunshine but quite a swell. We were sailing towards Hafnafjördur, because we saw a whale there on the previous tour. As we arrived we found the same Humpback Whale again. It was surfacing quite a lot and showing us it's beautiful fluke. It was great seeing this animal feeding and swimming freely in the sun glare. Everyone was happy to see one of the four main species we have here in Faxafloi Bay. As always all good things must come to an end and on the way back we got into a short hail storm.
