Tour at 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan: We went out from Reykjavík again in the afternoon and headed in the area where we had seen the minke whale this morning. The sea conditions were even better than this morning and so we were able to spot a minke whale in quite a distance from our boat. When we approached the whale a little closer to give all of our passengers a good look at the animal, we noticed a second minke whale in the same area. So we were lucky enough to have two, maybe even three, minke whales surfacing around our boat, and many passengers were able to take nice pictures of them which can sometimes be quite tricky.

Tour at 09:00

Report from Hafsúlan: Like in the previous days, we started our morning tour in Reykjavík. The sea conditions were much better than yesterday, even though it was still a little windy. There were not many birds around during this tour, and we had been sailing for quite a while without spotting cetaceans, when another whale watching boat told us about a minke whale they had encountered. So we made our way to the same area where the minke whale was still present, and we got a look at it surfacing 4-5 times around our boat. Unfortunately, we were running out of time and soon started our way back to the harbour.
