Tour at 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan and Elding: Everyone was out and about today, taking advantage of the good weather before it turns bad again. We had so many passengers that joined us today that we had to take out two boats for this tour. This was great because we could cover a larger area of the bay too. Elding went south as we, Hafsúlan, went north. We didn´t see very much for a long time until we got word from Elding that they found a pod of White-beaked Dolphins. Once we got there, there seemed to be about 5-7 individuals but they increased in numbers later on to 40+ maybe more. They were feeding in one area close to the boat, circling the prey as we watched and took pictures. It is incredible to watch these wild animals, later on they took a break in working and played around the boat, one small juvenile being very bold and surfaced many times just a meter or so from us. We turned off the engines and enjoyed nature at it´s best. Great day out at see.

Extra notices:

A strong Northern Light forecast is predicted for tonight (4/9), so wrap up warm and get out there.

A storm (strong winds) is predicted to hit us tomorrow so if your out and about be careful and wrap up warm - we will check on weather again tomorrow morning to assess chances of going out on our whale watching tour.
