In perfect weather, very calm sea and no wind, we sailed out to Faxaflói bay this afternoon. Soon we spotted a group of White-beaked dolphins. They were a bit shy, but some of them came very close to our boat a few times. Further out we spotted some Harbour porpoises. Some of them came quite close, others surfaced further away, but a very nice group. After searching for some time our first officer spotted a Minke whale, and in the same area we saw a few more. The Minke whales were a bit difficult today, diving for a long time and surfacing again further away. One or two came about 60 meters away from us, that was nice. So today we spotted three species of whales, and of course beautiful weather. All together wonderful trip.
