Today we will be operating on Þruma RIB for our 10:00 and 14:00 Premium Whale tour and on our lovely vessel Eldey for the 09:00, 13:00 and 17:00 Classic Whale Watching tours. Make sure to dress appropriately for the tours as it is always colder on sea than on land.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00

Report from Eldey: Today when we started sailing the sky was grey but after few minutes a glimpse of sun came out cheering us for the best ahead. The wind was quite strong and a long swell accompanied us during all the tour. After a while we saw few bird flocks around and then suddenly a blushy blow in the distance. Once closer, we saw 1 minke whale just popping up in front of us, 50 meters from the bow. It was quite active, busy feeding and then other 3 minke appeared in the same area, quite close to each other. We spent some time there spotting their dorsal fins and rostrum breaking the surface and it was quite good to see despite the white casps. Then we moved to another area and I spotted another minke whale, but fast and very elusive. The sun campe out when we were heading back to the marina but at the end it has been quite a good tour.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

Report from Eldey: We sailed out in a quite rough sea in the search for any cetaceans. Unfortunately we were not so lucky today and "only" saw one elusive minke whale that came up right in front of our boat. Because of the bad sightings we offered complimentary tickets.
