CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00
Report from Eldey: We set of into a calm sea with a beautiful sunrise on the one side, a full moon setting on the other. As the sun rose we quickly stumble upon our favourite pair of humpback whales. Banana and their friend were going back and forth in the area frantically, clearly feeding on the abundance of fish below us. They went for many fluke dives, surfacing after a few minutes, often at a rapid pace as they surged from underneath the surface, grabbing fish along the way. During this we even managed to see 2 excited tail slaps! After a good time, we moved on and searched the bay a bit further, but did not manage to find anything else. This left us to circle back to these 2 whales for a quick last stop before heading back to the harbour.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00
Report from Eldey: This afternoon, we had beautiful, sunny winter weather. Calm seas and blue skies. Not long after leaving the harbour and passing Engey, we spotted two blows! As we got closer, we saw it was the same pair of humpback whales as we saw this morning. They were still feeding under a large flock of birds. Moving around a lot and even lunge feeding a few times at the surface. We got some really close encounters with Banana and their friend! Passing right next to our boat so passengers on the bow got a face full of whale breath. Then we got a big surprise, Banana's friend did a big peduncle throw right in front of the boat! After watching them for a while, we continued our search around the islands but couldn't spot any other whales. We decided to look at our pair a few more times before going back to the harbour. While we were waiting for them to reappear, a grey seal also popped up next to us! Unusually curious of us all staring down at them! Unfortunately, after this, we had to start our journey back to the harbour.
