Report from Eldey: The weather was not doing other thing but improving, we enjoyed excellent sailing conditions during our afternoon trip. Our pursue took us to explore the south part of Faxafloi and we came across with several flocks of birds, including some very active northern gannets plunge diving. Apart from them, we found three times harbour porpoises, an estimate number of 10-12 of them which were visible thanks to the flat seas. But the best part was left for the end of the trip, when we thought we weren´t going to see anything a black shadow crossed next to us and for our astonishment it was the first minke whale of the year (usually minke whales are back from their migration in March, so we can enjoy them one month earlier than usual!). This individual was a bit curious about us and came very close in few occasions so we were amused by its easiness. Another perfect tour.

Report from Eldey: Finally we had some good forcast this weekend. We left Reykjavik when sun was rising and we sailed to explore calm waters of Faxa bay. It was beautiful morning and it was worthy to start day out on the water. As whales and dolphins are very mobile animals, traveling vast distances every day, after two days without looking for them we knew that it might be more challenging. We did our best, sailing as far as we could, but nothing was spotted. There was plenty of sea birds so we know that bay must be an attractive place for all of animals to feed and we expect to see whales and dolphins soon. We offered complimentary tickets to our guests so they can came back with us to have some whale of a time in future.
