Report from Eldey: This morning we sailed out on a bit of chop and wind. The wind was not too bad on our way out but increased on the way back. On our sail out we saw a small pod 3-4 harbour porpoises. They lived up to their name 'ninjas of the sea' and quickly disappeared. Shortly after we saw a big blow in the distance. A humpback whale! There was multiple big blows, and we then caught up with the whales and it was 4-5 humpback around us. They were busy feeding but came quite close a few times. We saw beautiful fluke dives all around us and as we waited for the whales to resurface we saw more 5-6 harbour porpoises. Eventually we ran out of time and headed back, with strong wind in our back, still seeing 3-4 harbour porpoises pop up from time to time.
