Tour at 1 pm: RUNNING FROM ANOTHER HARBOUR

Due to unfavorable conditions out of Reykjavík Harbour we will be sailing out from HAFNARFJÖRDUR Harbour today at 1 pm. A bus will be ready and waiting for passengers at our ticket office in the Old Harbour in Reykjavík and drive off to HAFNARFJÖRDUR at the scheduled departure time. This will result in a slightly longer tour or around 4 - 5 hrs, and may therefor impact COMBO tours. Due to swells there will be movement on the boat. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact our ticket office at elding@elding.is or +354 519 5000.

Tour at 13:00

Report from Eldey: Due to the strong winds coming from the South, we decided to go out from Hafnafjörður today to make the sailing as smooth as possible. Thanks to our Captain Lárus the rocking of the boat was rather gentle and we just had to deal with the strong winds in our faces and some rain every now and then. We sailed from Hafnafjörður back to Reykjavík on our search for whales, dolphins and porpoises. There were quite a few seabirds around, even some gannets that we haven´t seen that often the last few weeks. However, the cetaceans seemed to be quite shy today, we did not see any signs of cetaceans on this tour. Therefore, we offered complimentary tickets to everyone onboard to have the chance to come on another tour. These tickets are valid for the next two years and are valid for another tour from Reykjavík or Akureyri.

Bird species seen on today´s tours: northern gannet, northern fulmar, glaucous gull, lesser black-backed gull, kittiwake, razorbill.
