CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00

REPORT FROM ELDEY: It´s a calm and cloudy day in Reykjavik today, the temperature is getting warmer and despite the big waves, we left the harbour to go check the wildlife in the bay. After half an hour we spotted a couple of white beaked dolphins traveling in the area and after few minutes we met a pod of 7 individuals of the same species intent on hunting, together with a flock of seabirds, mainly northern fulmar. We enjoyed their company for a bit but then we moved on in search of other creatures. Unfortunately we didn't meet any but on the way back we came across 2 harbour porpoises, quite elusive and once closer to the harbour we met other 5 white beaked dolphins. We got the chance to see them pretty close and everybody was happy!

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

Report from Eldey: We sailed off the harbor into the bay in a cloudy day. It was quite flat at the beginning but as soon as we got further we started to feel the western swell under the boat. Suddenly, we saw some splashes in the distance. They were white beaked dolphins!! They were resting so they were not interacting that much with us. We decided to continue and very soon we were surrounded by multiple pods of dolphins that were feeding quite actively. We could also see some sea birds joining the party. There were around 100 white beaked dolphins in the area. After spending some time with them we realized that a small humpback whale was feeding in the same area too! We could even see her lunge feeding. After some time we decided to head back to harbor feeling very grateful for this complete and unique tour!
