CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00
Report from Eldey: After a full cancelled day, we were all eager to sail again into Faxafloi bay this morning, hoping that the good activity of the last few weeks would continue. Luckily for us, it was the case: finding several small flocks of birds, we quickly spotted 3 humpback whales, gently coming up and down. Staying with them for over 30 minutes, two of them kept together, slowly diving at the same time throughout our time with them. Continuing our way out the bay, we then encountered 8 white beaked dolphins ! These 2 pods kept roaming around us and sailing with us, as some even jumped out several times just in front of us. Heading back home, everyone seemed more than happy with the outcome of our tour, as we kept our lucky streak of plentiful tours.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00
Report from Eldey: The swell had calmed down since the morning, and with some low southern wind we had a wonderful sail out into the sunny bay. Thanks to the clear visibility, we could spot the blow of a humpback whale from a distance, and we were delighted to find that there were actually two humpback whales! Pep and Neila were swimming calmly next to each other, although out of nowhere one of them slapped his tail a few times on the surface. After some amazing up close moments, we said goodbye to these two individuals and found a third humpback whale. This individual was diving a bit longer, so after a few surfaces we left to head towards Reykjavik. On the way, we encountered a pod of 6 white-beaked dolphins who were very curious about our boat, bowriding and jumping out.
