Tour at 17:00

We sailed from Reykjavík this afternoon in spite of the weather conditions. Western winds create swell in the bay, which means that there are some deep heavy waves coming towards us as we are sailing out. Our passengers braved the conditions and it paid off! We found a big group of feeding birds, kittiwakes, fulmars, arctic terns, seagulls and even one gannet, and around this group of birds there were 2-3 Minke whales which we spotted a few times. We left the area and were pleasantly suprised by the rather unpleasant smell of the breath of a Minke whale, but when we stopped the boat we didn't find one Minke whale... but two! Always surfacing together and even the blow of the whales was visible so it made it easy for us to find them behind the big waves. A really nice tour with lots of wet, but happy, passengers :)

Tour 13:00

We started in Keflavik and we sailed all the way back to Reykjavik. A nice 3 hours of whale-watching tours, with penly of feeding Minkes, still a lot of gannets and also Manx shearwaters have been spotted, with artic terns and gulls. To conclude our tour we saw a fluke and we soon realize it was a Humpback whale. It was big, with a almost completly black fluke... maybe a new individual!

Tour 9:00

Today we sailed out from Keflavík. We went out to sot whales and we mainly had Minke whales, quite many during the morning tour. They were mainly in areas where birds were gathering in flocks. Gannets were so many out there.  A lot of them flying hight above the sea, searching and then dorpping down the catch the fish.
