Tour at 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan: Today the weather was very good with the sun peeking at us from under the clouds and calm seas. Before we left the harbour there was a massive feeding frenzy of birds, mainly Glaucous Gulls, Shags, a couple of Black Guillemots and Eider Ducks. After sailing out between Akurey and Engey we headed south towards Hafnarfjordur along the east coast of Reykjavik and began our search. We had been searching for about 50 minutes when we came upon a pod of 5-7 White-beaked Dolphins! They were very social and came close to the boat, swimming just underneath the seas surface, giving us an excellent look at them. We stayed with them for about half an hour and a fantastic time with these amazing creatures. After this encounter we searched a little bit further out into the bay and then headed back to Reykjavik in the afternoon sunset.
