Tour at 13:00
Report from Eldey: We have had a rainy day with a smooth breeze blowing from the South. Nonetheless, the temperature was above zero so it was "warm" for icelandic standards. We started the tour as we have been doing the last month, sailing in between the islands in front of Reykjavik in order to find our evasive and world-wide known humpback whale. However, we couldn´t find it and we decided to sail out towards Faxafloi. Birdlife was incredible today as we could spot cormorants, guillemots and many seabirds and we were blessed for few moments when a gyrfalcon (the symbolic national animal in Iceland) followed us briefly. Despite that and the enthusiasm of our guide, we couldn´t find any sign of cetaceans today so we offered to all of our passengers a complimentary ticket, hoping that next time it´s going to be the good one.
