Tour at 13:00
Report from Eldey & Hafsulan: Active morning for Elding today, as a snowfall record in Reykjavik dressed all of our boats in a thick layer of powdery snow! Receiving many guests, we had to shovel our two main ferries, the way to the whale watching center, and the buses for the pick-up and drop off! But Elding´s workforce is composed of hardworkers and everything was ready for departure on time, even if passengers had to be a bit patient in a crowded waiting area. Our way out into the bay was brilliant with a splendid sun and barely any clouds above us, offering perfect visibility and splendid views of deep blue sea and white mountains. The way back was a bit more challenging with incessant frosty wind on our face. Luck was not on our side today unfortunately, as on Eldey we saw a pod of 5-6 white-beaked dolphins but they only surfaced once and on Hafsulan our main sighting consisted of hundreds of northern fulmars. Nature works mysterious ways, and its secrets were not unraveled today. Tomorrow is another day, and hopefully soon enough our passengers can make us of the complimentary tickets that were handed over for the lack of cetaceans in the tour.
