✔ TOUR ON SCHEDULE | at 13:00

Report from Eldey: The day started with a complete 180° turn from the weather, instead of beautiful conditions we had to face strong easterlies which we getting into our bones making us feel like an ice cube. Nonetheless, sightings were extremely good. We came back to the same location as yesterday hoping to find our sneaky whale which we couldn´t find the day before. Our stubbornness was rewarded because the humpback whale was in between Lundey and Videy (a 20-min. sailing trip) and it was feeding constantly. We observed its fast movements as it was trying to herd a school of fish which seemed to be dispersed. After enjoying this amazing cetacean, we headed back to the harbour not before enjoying the fantastic views that Reykjavik has when snow is everywhere.

Birds seen during our tour: eider duck, european shag, great cormorant, common guillemot, black guillemot, razorbill, northern fulmar, iceland gull, glaucous gull, great black-backed gull, lesser black-backed gull.

We will be sailing from the Old Harbour today at 13:00. It will be quite windy and cold today so the seas could be a bit rough. We offer complimentary sea sickness tablets for those who want.
