Tour at 13:00
Report from Eldey: The sea conditions had improved over the day and it felt a bit warmer out on the bay. We sailed towards the area where we saw the minke whale on the morning tour. On the way we spotted some splashes far away. Soon after we turned the boat the splashes stopped. It took us at least 15 minutes to reach the area where the splashes were, and soon after we spotted dark fins popping out of the water. These were 6-7 white beaked dolphins! We followed them for a long time and got great look at them. When we left the pod we spotted at least two other pods. After this sighting we searched for other species. No large flocks of birds were seen on the tour nor other cetaceans species. It was nice to end the weekend with great dolphins in good weather.

Tour at 09:00
Report from Eldey: Our departure was very much enjoyable this morning, as we had the wind in our back, as well a majestic rising sun. We were relatively warm and bathed into spectacular lights. It took us quite some time before we finally reached an area where there was some life. We found a pod of hundred sea birds, mostly icelandic gull, so we searched carefully the area. Finally we saw a minke whale! It showed up on a couple of surfacing sequences, one of them very close to the boat, then disappeared. While we were trying to find it again, we noticed water splashes in the distance. It was a pod of 3-4 white-beaked dolphins! Unfortunately by the time we joined the area they were already gone and nowhere to be found. As the sightings were insufficient, we offered our passengers complimentary tickets. At least we got the sun!
