CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00
Report from Hafúlan: This Sunday morning we sailed out under glorious sunshine with the wind in our backs. After sailing for roughly 40 minutes, a minke whale surprised us directly in-front of the boat. These cetaceans can be quite tricky so we waited for a bit to see if it would re-appear. After it didn't we sailed onwards further into the bay. Then - multiple blows on the horizon! It looked like we had found 2 humpback whales at our 12 o' clock! These two individuals were being quite active and taking short dives, each time showing the fluke and and one even did a peduncle throw! Soon other boats joined so we left the area and found another humpback whale! This one came quite close to the boat so we could see the white shimmer of its pectoral fins through the water and hear the blow. Eventually we ran out of time and headed back to Reykjavik.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:OO
Report from Hafsúlan: With a successful morning, we sailed out to the same area where we saw the whales on the previous tour. The sun was shining, but within 45min of the tour, the waves started to pick up and our ride got a bit bumpy. This unpredictable weather didn't stop us from finding the whales and we spotted 1 minke whale that was passing by, not too far from us. This individual was at the same area of other bigger blows, and we saw 2 humpback whales next to each other. These ones were very tricky, being quite fast and spending about 8-9 min underwater, so they were always popping up in a very different spot. As we tried to track them, we saw other 2 blows in the distance. Since the passengers didn't get the chance to take a good look at them, we decided to give out complimentary tickets so they have the chance to see our favorite animals again in another time.
