Tour at 13:00

Amazing weather today, blue skies, calm sea and great visibility. It wasn't long when we found our first Minke Whale of the tour and what a great Minke it was, surfaced many times and on one occasion less than 10 meters from us. Then all the other whale watching boats came along and we felt the whale was being a bit too crowded so we headed off to find another individual. We headed to an area where there were a lot of diving Gannets and a couple of Minkes which looked to be too busy feeding then entertaining us. Then we got a call about a couple of White-beaked Dolphins in the area and so we were off. On the way to the dolphins we also saw a large pod of Harbour Porpoises. The Dolphins were excellent travelling next to and underneath the boat. Great day to be out at Sea!!

Tour at 09:00

Beautiful blue skies although a little bit of wind this morning in the Faxaflói bay. Heading out into the bay, we met a Minke whale just after the first 30 seconds into the whale-watching area. It surfaced amazingly close and many times, showing off its snout and blowholes. We stayed with this one for a while until it dove away but soon found 3 other Minke whales. Lots of diving Gannets provided the perfect setting for this whale watching adventure! Awesome tour!
