CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 0900

Report from Eldey: We set off this morning enjoying the sun once again. Despite the sun being there, you wouldn't know as it was still very cold. We sailed around on very calm seas for over an hour only looking at many seabirds, in particular Northern fulmars. Then finally we spotted a blow! There was a humpback whale ahead of us. We watched this humpback lunge feed a lot whilst we were with it. It even had some birds circling above it the whole time ready to take advantage of any fish it brought to the surface. After this wonderful show we headed back to the harbour.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

Report from Elding: We sailed out with equally calm weather conditions as this morning and slightly warmer temperatures. During the tour the clouds did roll in, creating a gloomy, soft atmosphere. After some searching we found ourselves our first humpback whale! This individual seemed to be travelling the bay so we stuck with them for a while, until some familiar-shaped dorsal fins caught our eyes. A few quickly turned into many and soon we were surrounded by 50-60 white beaked dolphins! They were all swimming around calmly and the air was filled with the sound of their blows. It was truly a mesmerizing experience to be surrounded by so many of these creatures. Eventually we did have to start heading back, but not before we spotted 2 more humpback whales
