CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00
Report from Eldey: We started our tour in chilly and grey condition. Despite the wind and the cold breeze the sea was pretty flat and we sailed out of the bay in a peaceful mood. After a while I just spotted 3 humpback whales and one of them was breaching twice in the distance. When we got closer, we could admire better these gentle giants even if they turned to be quite relaxed with us around. Actually we were surrounded by 7 humpback whales in total. Quite few more distant. Everybody was very happy to see these creatures very close, from the fluke dives to the dorsal fins breaking the surface of the water. One individual in particular was very curious and stayed with us for a while and it also spy hopped with its head once! On our way back we also saw other 2 individuals and more flukes just to make this tour more lovely!

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 1300
Report from Eldey: We sailed out west to the spot where we had been this morning. The weather was cloudy and there was little wind. During the first 45 minutes we dind`t see any cetaceans. We then encoutered our first humpback whale. It seemed calm and came to the surface several times for short breaths. A few minutes later we saw another humpback whale that was tailslapping 4 times right in front of the ship. About a kilometer further out there was a humpback whale breaching a total of 11 times. When we were heading towards Reykjavik we saw another humpback whale that was laying on its back on the surface pec-slapping for a few minutes. We had an amazing tour and saw a total of at least 4 different humpback whales.
