CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00

Report from eldey: Today we had an amazing weather with us, clear skies, very sunny and no wind, already a very good start for what would be such an amazing tour. In the first hour nothing was spotted but after that in the distance not one blow but five in a row. We started to get closer and 8 humpback whales  in different spots started to surround us. We could see pectoral fins under the water, fluke dives and big bodies appearing at the surface. Eventually we had to start to head back to the harbour after a very good whale watching trip.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:OO

Report from Hafsúlan: We sailed out glad that we had a lovely day ahead of us; the wind wasn't too cold and the sea conditions were still great. An eagled-eye passenger spotted our first animal: a minke whale was around us! However, we could only see it twice and we decided to go further out. Before we started going to the same area we saw the whales in the morning, we spotted a blow in the distance. That was made by a solitary humpback whale, swimming around quite fast and accompanied by a flock of birds. Then, we went further out and entered in a very productive area with many and many birds and... at least 8 humpbacks! It was incredible to see such active performances, taking deeper dives and coming back on the next minute, showing off their massive flukes. It was quite a show to see them feeding, together with noisy birds around them. We enjoyed this moment in silence, listening to nature, the birds, the loud blows and went back home pretty much satisfied after watching this feast!
