Tour at 13:00

We headed straight towards the area where we had the sightings earlier today. Not many birds on the way over there and when we got to the area we sadly didn't find any whales. The sea conditions were pretty much the same and very had to search. Finally we got to an area where there were more birds around and we went towards one of the flocks. Right under the birds we spotted a Minke Whale. This Minke Whale was really nice and we were able to take a good look at it. Among birds we spotted today were: Puffins, Guillemots, Fulmars, Kittiwakes, Gannets, Arctic Terns, Black-Backed Gulls, some Shear waters and Arctic Skuas.

While searching for the whales today we came a cross so many flocks of feeding birds, it was rather windy which made the conditions to search a lot more challenging for us. After searching for about 2 hours we finally spotted a dorsal fin. It seemed like a dorsal fin from a White-beaked Dolphin but it's really hard to say since it came so briefly up to the surface, half hidden between the waves. While waiting for it to come up again we spotted a Minke Whale on the other side of the boad. We saw it surface about 5 times always with a big blow. then further away in another direction we spotted another Minke Whale. When we got closer it came up again and a second later 2 more surfaced at the same time. On the way back we then spotted a nice pod of Harbour Porpoises.
