CLASSIC WHALE TOUR l 09:00

Report from Hafsula: This morning we sailed out veeery slowly as we had been seeing animals quite close to harbour! And only a few minutes later already came across 4 harbour porpoises! These can be quite elusive but we saw them very clearly through the water and they came up quite often! We then sailed a little further and saw 2 minke whales in one spot! They did take turns coming up, so it often looked like it was just one but based on direction and how it was coming up we know it was two! We watched for a bit and even managed to see its snout a few times too. We then continued our sail and saw a humpback whale! All the animals were quite relaxed, and we saw the humpback right next to the harbour wall! We stayed with this one for a bit and then headed to another(!) humpback, this one was a bit more active coming up a few times and showing its fluke! We then stuck in this spot for a bit so we didnt startle it when we moved. Shortly after we were back at the harbour, now the sun shining on us!

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

Report from Hafsulan: The seas were still as flat as the morning and the sun managed to peak a bit through the clouds as well. The whales were still incredibly close to shore so we managed to find them again very quickly! First we encountered a humpback whale, it was moving very slowly and coming up regularly for breaths. We stayed with it for some time until performed a nice fluke dive, which we took as a sign to move onwards. We then encountered a minke whale, which was coming up close and often in a small area, but than changed to a rapid pace and move quickly deeper out into the bay. We continued our explorations a bit after that and after a few last fluke dives of the humpback we headed back home, content with this afternoon's sightings!
