CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00
The morning started grey and with calm seas and it continued with heavy rain and low visibility. In despite of the icelandic weather experience we had an amazing whale watching tour! We got to see 5 harbour porpoises, and very soon after another 6 showed up. Soon after we encountered one minke whale that was travelling and it delighted us with its presence. While we were enjoying its peaceful movements surfacing we spotted a pod of white-beaked dolphins at the distance. There was a disperse pod of probably 12 in total. They were tricky to follow, elusive at times, but we did however enjoyed to seeing them, some of them jumping and some even approached our boat. The visibility was getting much worse, but our trained eyes and experience soon let us find what made this a phenomenal tour. Two humpback whales, very curious, we could not take our eyes off them, but other boats were already coming and we had to leave the whales and head home. An absolutely unforgetable tour!

PREMIUM WHALE TOUR | 10:00
Report from RIB : It was raining this morning on Reykjavik and on the bay so we finished completely soaked. The sea was nice for a ride with a bit of small waves, too small to make the boat unstable but big enough to produce white caps that makes the spotting a bit harder. We first found a pod of white-beaked dolphins that was probably feeding, moving quite fast and with one of those smart animals doing a few jumps. We lost them quite fast and move to the next encounter, a pair of humpback whales. In the beginning one of the humpbacks did a peduncle slapping once and pectoral slapping for a few minutes, slapping the water in big splashes. Then it seems it was much more relaxed and they were just slowly swimming and going for short dives. We could admire three fluke dives before we had to head back, wet but happy.

PREMIUM WHALE TOUR | 14:00
Report from RIB : It was still raining on Reykjavik but once in the bay, we escaped the rain. The sea was even calmer and it was very pleasant to sail on Faxafloi. We first found a pod of white-beaked dolphins that looked very relaxed but not interested in being approached. We observed them a bit from far and when we could not find them anymore move to another area trying to find another species. We went back in the area where the humpback whales were before and found the 2 same humpback whales, still looking very relaxed in the same area. We stayed with them and it was so pleasant to be alone with them, moving at very slow speed and enjoying the sun. The whales were not diving and staying close to the surface, until the end when we had a beautiful from both whales. We had to go back so we ride back into the rain in Reykjavik.
