Tour at 13:00

Again we headed out and the weather was even worse. We were optimistic though, because we had such a nice trip in the morning. We headed back to the same area and again found the gannets feeding all around. It's quite spectacular to watch these elegant birds diving down in to the sea! We spotted 2-3 groups of harbour porpoises, again around 5-6 Minke whales and again the white-beaked dolphins which came very close, just 2m away from the front of the boat! In spite of the rough weather and a bit of seasickness, it was a very successful trip :)

Tour at 9:00

We set off this morning with some pretty high waves out there on the bay. Nevertheless we came to a really good area where there were plenty of feeding gannets. The gannets often give us a clue to where the whales are, because they are feeding on the same kinds of things. In this area we spotted a group of harbour porpoises, 5-6 Minke whales and a couple of white-beaked dolphins which swam around the boat really close to us for a while. It was a really nice tour in spite of the rough weather!
