Tour at 17:00

This evening we went out and looked for the Humpback whales again, we found at least 4-5 individuals but were unable to get a close look at any of them as they were very busy feeding. It was nice though, we were able to spot the whales flukes as they went down for their deep dives.

We had beautiful weather and good whale watching conditions as well on this tour. Much more quickly than expected we spotted a blow and found a humpback whale. We watched it for a while but we had the feeling it was avoiding us so we went on. Not far away we spotted a really huge blow but this humpback whale dived for a long time, too long for us to spend all our time waiting for it. Therefore we went over to the area where we had seen the humpback whales this morning. There we found the mother and its calf again and spent a long time with them. Again we had a great trip with three humpback whales and one calf!

This morning we went out expecting rough weather, but the wind decreased throughout the trip and eventually it was quite calm. Shortly after leaving the Puffin island we spotted a few white-beaked dolphins. When we had stopped the boat to observe them, we smelled the breath of a Minke-whale, and some of our passengers were lucky enough to spot it. We saw a large blow in the distance and decided to check it out. We soon found 3 Humpback whales, a mother and calf, and another individual. A great trip!
