Report from Eldey: We set off this morning in the rain and facing some wind but we were still very excited for the day to come. On our journey out we headed to the south of Faxaflói Bay. On our way we first spotted a small pod of 3 harbour porpoises. Then after a bit more travelling we saw a huge black dorsal fin on our left, it was a male orca! We watched this huge animal for a little bit before realising there were actually 10-12 of them! They were spread out all around us we saw males, females and juveniles! It seemed as though they were probably feeding. They even came really close to our boat, it was amazing to see this species again. Then we headed back to the harbour, on our way back we saw 2 more pods of porpoises. The first had 7 individuals and next had 2. We then arrived back in more rain, very very happy.

Report from Eldey: We headed out in light rainy conditions, with a little wind, but the sea was nice. We had to look for quite some time, but our patience paid off. We found a pod of 5 white-beaked dolphins ! They were really nice, because they decided to come very close to our boat and check us out. In that way we also could check them out and got a really good look at their white beak, so every passenger could see, why they're called like this. We left them after a while, so they could do their thing again and we sailed back to harbor. The wait was worth the sight.
