Tour at 13:00
Report from Elding: This was a beautiful morning however we knew that Faxaflói bay was rather windy outside of Reykjavík. That is why we decided to sail out from Hafnarfjörður today. When we got out there was a bit of a swell and the wind was blowing. We sailed along Reykjanes peninsula in the fog so we couldn’t see the spectacular landscape we knew was there. On our way out we didn’t spot any animals. We turned the boat and sailed further off shore for our journey back to expand our search area. On our way back the wind blew with us and the swell had decreased. We did not see any animals on our way back either, even though we did find a flock of feeding birds indicating food in the area. When we reached Hafnarfjörður harbour passengers had received their complementary tickets that are valid for another whale watching tour in the next two years.
