  • CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00, 13:00
  • PREMIUM WHALE TOUR | 10:00, 14:00

Today we will be operating on Þruma RIB for our 10:00 and 14:00 Premium Whale tour and on our lovely vessel Eldey for the 09:00 and 13:00  Classic Whale Watching tours. Make sure to dress appropriately for the tours as it is always colder on sea than on land.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00

Report from Eldey: sailing out in the freezing cold bay, the conditions were perfect for us to spot and enjoy the start of the day. As we headed further out, we finally came across a very active area, where the Northern gannets and fulmars fished profusely. In this same zone, we first had 2 minke whales graze past us, one of them showing up constently around our boat. They were soon replaced by 3 pods of 15 white beaked dolphins, feeding joyfully, with several jumping out trhoughout our time with them. As we, and other boats, kept seeing more and more activity all around us, we had 3 more minke whales come join us and show up next to our boat, for everyone to have a great final sighting.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

Report from Eldey: We headed out of the bay, hoping to reiterate the sightings of this morning. As a good omen, we started of by having a pod of 8 harbour porpoises skim by our path. We later found our coveted spot of activity, with many birds roaming around, including many Northern gannets plunge diving. Here we encountered firstly a pod of white beaked dolphins, that stayed close to us for prolonged time. We then had the great luck to have 5 consecutive minke whales appear to us, before another pod of white baked dolphins came to finish the tour, with some splendidly jumping out of the water for a perfect end.
