Report from Eldey: Sea was a tough cookie this afternoon, due to the increased wind. More swell made it a bit tougher sailing and trickier spotting, but everybody held on and stayed patient, until we spotted a blow on the left inside of our boat. It took us long minutes of search before finding the source of the blow before we got to see a humpback whale breaching 3 times in a row! Unfortunately the whale disappeared after that. We wandered around in the bay trying to find it again, when we came across a minke whale! While we were following it we also sighted a tiny harbour porpoise crossing our path. Overall not easy sightings due to the sea, but we got to see 3 different species and some breaching!

Report from Eldey: When we set out this morning the sky was grey and the forecast for the wind looked threatening. The sea however was perfectly fine during the whole tour. After an hour sailing out we came across a humpback whale, it was very exciting as we hadn't seen one for a few weeks! At first we only saw the big blow of the whale and it's dorsal fin. After a while the whale came closer and even lifted its flukes for us to see before diving! While we were watching the humpback whale, a minke whale also came up on the other side of the boat, we were very lucky to see two different species in the same area. On the way back the sun came out for a short while to warm our skin, it really was a excellent tour.
