Tour at 13:00Report from Hafsúlan: The weather looked beautiful in Sandgerði as we headed out from the harbour. The waves were quite high but not that choppy so although we could feel the movement it wasn't too bad. We searched a big area and after about an hour sailing on of the crew members spotted a White-beaked Dolphin. At first we thought it was only a single animal but soon more of them surfaced and it must have been a pod of around 20 dolphins. There were a few adult animals in the pod but also alot of youngs ( baby dolphins) that were just so tiny and adorable. The pod kept close together protecting their youngs and we got a few very good views at them until we decided to leave this small family so we wouldn't disturb them to much. after about 30 minutes sailing we spotted another pod of White-beaked dolphins, with around 15 animals. This group had more adult animals and seemed to be feeding. They came very close to the boat and even swam under it so we got a beautiful look at them! We searched the area some more but didn't find any thing else.It was a good tour and it was fun to see different pods of dolphins doing different activities. - Freydís ÓskBirds seen on todays tour include: Kittiwakes, Fulmars, Gloucous Gulls, Guillemots, Razorbills, Cormorant, Eider-ducks & Northern Gannets
