Tour at 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan: We had a very windy day today. We sailed out from Hafnarfjordur and went west along the Reykjanes peninsula. On our way out we sailed into the wind. What started out as rain soon turned into snow. It started snowing heavily and it was like christmas all over again. During our sailing we spotted a small pod of Harbour porpoises as well as a few Northern gannets, guilliemots and we were chased by some kittiwakes for a while. The falling snow didn't seem to deter our passengers since most people were wearing the overalls provided on board. On our way back we sailed with the wind and the sailing was a bit more comfortable. We sailed further off shore to expand our search area, however we did not spot any more cetaceans today. We handed out complimentary tickets and hope that most passengers will be able to return for another tour.
