CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00
Report from Eldey: Today the sea conditions seemed good, small swell and just a few white caps despite the snow and a bit of wind. We sailed out with hope, going strait to the area were we were successful for the last trips! The journey was very long but after 1 hour were were able to spot a minke whale close by! We waited patiently and it resurfaced twice before completely disappearing! We then continued sailing searching for something else, and bellow a flock of Northern fulmars we spotted 3 harbour porpoises probably feeding and swimming really fast! Since the porpoises were not interested in our company we sailed back to Reykjavik's harbour! As the sightings were very brief we gave out complementary tickets to all our costumers that would like to join us for our next trips and try their luck once more!

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00
Report from Eldey: this afternoon we sailed into the snow and mist. Although the mist spread in all the directions, the visibility was still sufficient for spotting wildlife. We kept sailing, bracing the wind and snow until a passenger spotted some splashed on our back. As we turned around we saw a few white-beaked dolphins but they disappeared just as quickly as they came. On the way back we spotted a pod of harbor porpoises and managed to get a few glimpses on these tiny cetaceans. Since we have not spotted anything else, we offered all the passengers a complementary tickets to return for their next whale watching trip for free to try their luck again.
