CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan: The weather was great, sunny, barely any wind and an ocean that looked more like a lake! As we sailed away from the port, a little harbour seal was on her way to a meal somewhere around the islands of Reykjavík and it quickly disappeared. We continued our journey, checking recent hotspot we had on the previous days. By the time we passed Lundey, we spotted a blow thanks to the sun being so low! It was actually two blows from 2 humpback whales! They were the same as yesterday, Banana and her buddy, and they kept on doing what they do best, slow fluke dives! They did so many that we got to see all the angles. In the vicinity, another humpback was searching for food, but this one was doing long dives, up to 12 minutes each, compared to the 5 minute dives these two were doing. We did try to see it but it was just too quick going down and we didn't get to see the fluke. Anyway, we had a great time and so it was time to head back to the harbour!
