  • CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 9:00, 13:00

Today's whale watching tours from Reykjavík are on schedule! Remember to dress according to weather and feel free to borrow our thermal overalls if needed!

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00

Report from Eldey: This morning we sailed out into the bay, we had a slight swell and it was snowing a bit in the beginning of the tour,  but soon enough the sun came out and we could see the beautiful snowy mountains in the distance! We sailed around in the bay while enjoying our morning coffees and the sun but eventually we needed to start our way home. Unfortunately we couldn't find the whales this morning so we gave out complimentary tickets for everyone on board so they could try again on another day.

CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 13:00

Report from Eldey: This afternoon was full of adventure. We started the sail heading out into faxafloi. We were surrounded by snowy mountains and were excited to head out to sea. We had glimpses of sun but also a lot of snow which is always magical to get out in the bay. We sailed around a bit and as we got further out the swell increased a bit. We therefore decided to started heading closer to land in order to make it more pleasant for everyone. After a long search we finally had success! We found Banana the humpback whale! In the same spot we saw 4-5 grey seals. All of them were quite inquisitive and came fairly close to the boat. We stayed together with the humpback for a bit, the sun came out and it was snowing at the same time! Banana did a little lunge feed and a few flukes dives and gave us a nice end to the tour.
