Report from Elding: The weather situation did not change since yesterday, but the gray gloom did little to our high spirits as we left the Old Harbour. The captain decided to take the tour along the south coast of the Faxa bay, an excellent opportunity to see a different angle of the capital and a good view of Reykjanes penninsula. After more than an hour and a half sailing in the southern part of the bay, we turned North-West, towards the middle of Faxa. We searched extensively in the area that usually proves to be a success. This time our luck ran out it seemed. We exceeded the time we usually take to stay in the bay, but with little results. Even though it was an interesting tour when it comes to the scenery and the general feel on the boat (we also had some sun on the way back and a beautiful rainbow), we gave out complementary tickets to our guests, making sure they get another chance to see some marine mammals.
