  • CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 9:00
  • CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

Today we will be operating on our lovely vessel Eldey for the 9:00 and 13:00 Classic Whale Watching tour. Make sure to dress according to weather, as it is usually colder at sea than on land.

CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 09:00

Report from Eldey: Our tour started with a light shower, just to wake us up on this lovely Icelandic morning. After some 20 minutes fighting the wind, a blow was seen with the help of the sun's glare! It was a humpback whale! Right away we noticed it was our friend Frodo, she's been around for quite a while, staying to feed on some nice fish. We saw plenty of fluke dives and after the whale got a bit far we had room to move and go explore the bay a little more. We did see loads of birds, some seals and even a mystery object but nothing more than that. The landscapes were amazing tho! We got back to the shore after an hour and we saw that Frodo had moved quite a lot. We went there to see him again before we got back to the harbour. That's when he came super close to us and even left a poop trail behind. A nice and smelly end to a whale watching tour!

CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING 1300

Report from Eldey: What a lovely weather today! Simply perfect for a whale watching tour! Just after 10 minutes sailing we encountered an humpback whale! We named this individual Frodo, and he is well known for being a very quiet individual who really enjoy resting all the time! We then decided to keep sailing and try to find other species, but unfortunately we couldn't find any another animal on the way! We then opted to go back to Frodo, stay with him a little and bit and then head back to the old harbour. Amazing tour!
