Today we will be operating on our lovely vessel Eldey for the 13:00 Classic Whale Watching tours. Make sure to dress appropriately for the tours as it is always colder on sea than on land.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

Report from Eldey: Once again we had a beautiful blue sky and what seemed like a constant golden hour. We decided to try our luck close by again as the sea further out in the bay was fairly choppy. Not even half an hour after sailing we saw a little blow. We thought it was the humpback whale from yesterday but it was a minke whale! This was a friendly individual, which we could easily follow by eye. Minke whales often like to change direction and are incredibly fast so it was nice to get a proper look. After some time together we continued on to give it some space and not even 10 minutes later we saw a humpback whale! It was the same one as yesterday, again very strange that it is so close to land but very cool to see. We still have not had a chance to compare its fluke with our catalogue so it remains a mystery for now if we know this whale. We stayed with it for a bit and when the sun started setting headed back to harbour, enjoying the stunning landscape on the way back.
