Today we will be operating on our lovely vessel Eldey for the 09:00 and 13:00  Classic Whale Watching tours. Make sure to dress appropriately for the tours as it is always colder on sea than on land.

  • CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 9:00, 13:00

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 0900

Report from Eldey: The sun hadn't even appeared behind Reykjavik before we saw our first animal. It was a humpback whale! It was the same as yesterday very close to Skarfabakki harbour called Flak. This male humpback would regularly come very close to our boat giving all our guests incredibly views of his body. We also got to see lots of fluke dives. We then headed out further into the bay. Here we found another 2 humpbacks. At first they were solitary before coming together. Both were quite elusive and had irregular diving patterns. But we still got a good look at them. We then headed home as the sun shone brightly from above Reykjavik.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

Report from Eldey: After an amazing morning with set out in search of the mysterious whale near the islands of Reykjavík! We did find it, near Engey a humpback whale named Flak! it did stupendous fluke dives near our boat. We also had an amazing view of the city with this nice and sunny day. We then left Flak do it´s thing and we set out to the middle of Faxaflói to try to spot more cetaceans but it wasn´t successful. We came back to Flak, saw him do the amazing fluke dives and then we came back to the harbour safe and sound.
