CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00

Report from Hafsúla: Today we sailed against a lot of rain but very calm seas. After some time of searching for the animals in the water we finally started to see something. The first individual that appeared was 1 minke whale was quite elusive and difficult to spot, then around 20 white beaked dolphins and finally 4/5 humpback whales. Multiple species and multiple animals making the tour an amazing one. The humpback whales were travelling together and appearing and diving at the same time making a great show.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR I 13:00

Report from Hafsúla: We set sail on a very Icelandic day, with some rain and wind in our faces. We had big prospect of spotting some whales since on the tour the day before we saw lots of whales! Some minutes into the tour and we had our first cetacean in a pod of 3 harbour porpoises close to the boat, but of course we wanted something bigger. Half an hour passed and we got a sight of blows in the distance indicating that there was a larger animal. And it was confirmed with 5 to 6 humpback whales feeding from a big school of fish. We also had lots of fluke dives, tail slaps and a very rare spy hop! We stood with the whales for about an hour before heading back home. On the way we still could see the blows coming up and we saw porpoises again at about the same area as those we've seen before. Also a big news, we started to see more and more puffins, a good sign if you enjoy seeing those cute birds!
