Report from Eldey and Hafsulan: What a thrilling tour! And for our very first time not just only because of the amazing wildlife. We sailed out today with two boats, with incredible spotting conditions but a tedious light rain that was pouring incessantly. From Eldey we spotted a few white beaked dolphins, so we headed towards them and enjoy the animals for just a few minutes. After that, we received the call from Hafsulan. Since they were undergoing through some technical problems, we decided to board all their passengers into Eldey and proceed with the tour. And almost as if the dolphins were aware of the situation, it almost looked that they wanted to comfort all our passengers for the small inconvenience! We reached them again and we saw more than 10 individuals swimming together. We even got to see two calves swimming close to their respective mothers. We thought at the beginning that they were a little protective because of this two young ones, but at some point they even came towards us and performed their particular version of Human-Watching! So at the end it was such a lovely tour. And again, in the name of all the crew from both boats, thank you so much to all of you that shared this experience in today's 13.00 tour. Not only for your patience, but specially for your exemplary response during the incident. You are awesome!

Report from Eldey: The sea was quite agitated this morning but luckily the swell had decreased since yesterday. We took a turn North and headed close towards Akranes, since our Captain Gvendur hat the feeling we would find something there. And so we did! After about 45 min we came across a solitary white-beaked dolphin! We saw it a few times before it disappeared between the waves. If there is one dolphin, there should be more dolphins around as they are so social animals. We spent a while in that area looking for more dolphins but couldn't find any. Therefore we moved on to look for something more. We took a large circle in the Bay without any success. On our way back, we were getting closer to where we had seen that one dolphin before and saw it again, this time leaping next to us! But again it did not stay for much longer around us. It is hard to say if it was the same individual we saw twice but considering that it was the same area and that it is rather rare to see dolphins on their own, it seems likely that it was the same one that was wandering on its own. Since we did not find much more and the dolphin disappeared quickly both times, we offered all our passengers complimentary tickets. These tickets are valid for two years for another whale watching tour with us either from Reykjavik or Akureyri!

We have heated indoor areas on board but we also have overalls to keep you warm out on deck. We are looking forward to welcoming you to our tour!
