  • CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 9:00, 13:00

All whale watching tours are on schedule today from Reykjavík! Remember to dress according to weather and feel free to borrow our thermal overalls if needed!

CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 0900

Report from Eldey: It was another cold but beautiful morning as we left the harbor. Not to far out, we spotted the blows of the 2 humpback whales, Banana and Split, close to the island of Viðey. They were busy feeding and as we got closer for a better look, we also spotted several harbor seals and grey seals as well as a large number of Northern gannet in the area.  We spend a good time with the whales before we went for a cruise around the islands. On our way back to the harbor we stopped again for more pictures of the whales and the seals before heading back. A great morning out on the bay.

CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 13:00

Report from Eldey: This afternoon the wind picked up and there was a bit of swell but we had some high hopes so we headed to the same area as we were during the morning. Just a few minutes after sailing we spotted the two blow we were looking for ! Humpback whales! Banana and Split were feeding together with some grey and harbour seals and a large flock of birds around! We stayed with them for a bit but eventually we decided to continue our search. Eventually we decided to go back to the harbour but we still had time for one last look at the whales before sailing to Reykjavik.
