- CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 9:00, 13:00
Today's whale watching tours from Reykjavík are on schedule. Remember to dress according to weather and feel free to borrow our thermal overalls if needed!
CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 0900
Report from Eldey: Even though the weather was a bit cloudy and windy, we decided to head over to the charming Hafnarfjordur harbor—and it didn’t disappoint! We were lucky enough to spot the same humpback whale we’ve been seeing for the past few days. It was busy feeding, and we got to watch a group of northern gannets swooping in to join the action. At one point, the whale even came super close to the boat, giving everyone an unforgettable up-close view. Everyone was buzzing with excitement, but eventually, we had to start heading back to Reykjavik. Still, it was an incredible day on the water!

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00
Report from Eldey and Elding: As we sailed past the harbour wall, we noticed the wind was strong and offshore, helping us out of there in search of some fun whales. It took us a bit to find the right angle with the waves, but the sun helped us to find a blow close to the first buoy of the Hafnarfjördur harbour! An unusual place to find whales but it has been a lucky spot for a few weeks now. This burst came from a humpback whale that we soon noticed it was the same from the morning. So we knew it was a nice whale and predictable as it was diving for less than a minute at a time. We followed this animal for a bit, we saw it change its heading a few times but it continued going towards the harbour. There were big flocks of birds in the area, signaling the presence of fish. So this whale had a job to do! EAT EAT EAT! Unfortunately, the time was short so had to get back to the harbour.
