Report from Hafsúlan and Elding: After a successful morning we sailed with two boats back out into Faxaflói, it was still windy but on the way out we were quite comfortable as we sailed with the wind. After around 45 minutes we had our first success, we found a small pod of White-Beaked Dolphins! These dolphins were feeding and so they were happy to come very close to the boat and were even leaping out of the water! Hafsulan ever spotted a Minke Whale, but it surfaced very quickily sonot many passengers got to see it. We decided to try to find something else a little later, along the way we kept seeing more dolphins but it didn´t take long before we found our goal. Two Humpback Whales! And they were joined by at least 50 dolphins as they were all feeding together in a huge feeding frenzy! Along with so many dolphins leaping the whales were rolling around at the surface, they were spy-hopping and even lunge feeding at the surface! It was a thrilling tour in both the weather and the whales and one to remember!

Report from Hafsúlan: We sailed out this morning with some wind but a big chill. It was freezing this morning. Our passengers were well prepared though and those that were still cold made use of our overalls we have on board. We sailed west to the area we have a humpback yesterday. It was splashes in the distance that attracted us this morning, big splashes in the distance. A Humpback Whale breaching, whoo hoo! Jumping for joy right out of the water, then as we got closer it started tail slapping and then tail lobbing. Once it breached just 20-30 meters from us and tail lobbed closer than that. We stayed with this individual for while until we saw another feeding not to far away. It was an incredible tour.
