✔ TOUR ON SCHEDULE | at 13:00

Report from Eldey: Winds were picking up even more than in our morning tour, yet still the waves were not too rough for us to go out and our captain is very talented at taking the boat on the best route possible for us to have a calm sail out on the ocean. The scenery was very nice, with the sun coming through every now and again and a clear horizon letting us see far into the distance. Sadly, no cetaceans were spotted by any of the boats out today, thus we gave every passenger a complimentary ticket to return to sea once more.

✔ TOUR ON SCHEDULE | at 9:00

Report from Eldey: Another windy morning for us in Faxafloi! But thankfully the wind direction had changed since yesterday and now at least didn't feel quite as icy and freezing. The swell was less than would be expected with such strong winds so the ride was as smooth as could be expected for such weather. We searched the island area of Kollafjöður to begin our tour, then sailed out through the bay, covering both the eastern and western side during our search. Despite the large area we searched, we didn't get lucky with sightings and offered everyone another return trip with us for free by giving out complimentary tickets.

Birds seen today: cormorant, northern gannet, common guillemot, black guillemot, icelandic gull, black headed gull, herring gull, eider duck.

We will be sailing from the Old Harbour in Reykjavík today at 9:00, we are expecting some movement on the boat today. The tour today might end up in Hafnarfjörður, and we will provide transfer back to Reykjavík free of charge, and this should not add much time to the tour.
