Report from Eldey: This tour was definitely the perfect example of what Icelandic weather can be like, changing every few minutes. We sailed through sunshine, hail, rain, a snowstorm, more sunshine and finally freezing winds. Most of our search was through the area of Kollafjodur, which often has been visited by humpback whales this winter season. Also harbour seals and harbour porpoises are known to inhabit this area. However, even bird life was very quiet today and we did not spot any animals throughout the trip. Naturally, complimentary ticket were handed out to our passengers to return for another trip.

Birds seen today: Cormorant, northern fulmar, common guillemot, herring gull, eider duck.
We are sailing from the Old Harbour in Reykjavík today at 9:00 and 13:00.The wind is getting stronger and there will be movement out on the bay, so if you are prone to seasickness, we have seasickness tablets free of charge.
