Report from Eldey: Iceland is beautiful during the winter, especially when we have a window between winter storms and that's exactly what we have experimented in our afternoon trip. We started the tour surrounded by numerous seabirds and when we arrived to one of our favorite spotting areas it didn't take long until we found cetaceans. There were at least 10-14 white-beaked dolphins and they displayed all kind of imaginable tricks: head slapping, leaping, chasing potential preys, socializing very slowly next to the boat. All these dolphin-extasis lasted for more than half an hour, it was a wonderful experience! Later, we carried on and we could see literally thousands of birds and an astonishing view from Faxafloi. Dolphinitely, it was a great tour!

Birds seen during our tour: Eider duck, great-black backed gull, black-headed gull, icelandic gull, glaucous gull, northern gannet, european shag, great cormorant, northern fulmar, little auk and common guillemot.

We will be sailing from the Old Harbour in Reykjavik today at 1 pm. There will be some movement in the sea today, so if you are sensitive to sea sickness we do provide tablets for motion sickness both at our ticket office and on board. We hope you are able to join us today!
