Tour at 13:00

We set out this afternoon with some pretty big waves, strong wind and the sun was shining. After visiting the puffin island Lundey we headed out to Faxaflói to find the whales. After searching for a long time in a rough weather we finally spotted a blow for a minke whale. It surfaced 100 meters in front of us but only twice. One of our passengers spotted another one in a different direction so we got at least two in the area maybe even more because we saw some blows further away. It was very difficult to get close to them, they only surfaced once or twice. Then, on our way back to the harbour one minke whale suddenly surfaced 4-5 times only 50 meters in front of our boat so we could have a good look at it. Very rough tour. Birds seen the tour: Gannets, kittiwakes, fulmars, guillemots and puffins
